Objectives
v To motivate and enhance enthusiasm among participants in the learning of the Chinese language through exposure to Chinese culture.
v To educate participants on the immense and varied history of Taiwan through sightseeing tours of cultural and historical sites.
v To promote interaction and friendship between Singapore and Taiwanese students by enabling participants to experience student life in the local schools
v To help our participants cultivate skills and values like self-reliance, independence, bonding with fellow schoolmates and also foster team camaraderie.

Electricity:
Taiwan's electric current is 110 V, 60 Hz. Upon request, most hotels will provide transformers to visitors with electrical appliances of a different voltage. However, it is recommended that you bring your own voltage converter and plug adapter.
Water:
Tap water is not safe for drinking. Complimentary drinking water will be provided in hotel rooms and during outings.
Currency:
Taiwan's unit of currency is the New Taiwan dollar (NT$). The exchange rate is around NT$23 to S$1. New Taiwanese dollars include two forms: paper bills and coins. The face value of the paper bills are: NT$2000, NT$1000, NT$500, NT$200 and NT$100. For the coins: NT$50, NT$10, NT$5 and NT$1. You are advised to change your NT$ in Singapore.
